Seeing in the Dark
December brings us the darkest days of the year.
And yet, this is also the season when so many cultures and traditions celebrate light.
Perhaps there is something important about that contrast.
When everything is brightly illuminated, we can see clearly—but we may also overlook the subtle things that become visible only in shadow.
What can we perceive when we aren’t trying to shine a light on everything?
What might darkness reveal?
Could there be wisdom, possibility, mystery, or beauty hiding in places we have been reluctant to look?
SoulCollage® offers an invitation to slow down and see differently. Working intuitively with images, we can allow unexpected connections and meanings to emerge.
Our December exploration will center on the theme Seeing in the Dark.
We’ll consider questions such as:
What do I see when I stop trying to have all the answers?
What might be emerging in the shadows of my life?
Is there something I can perceive now that I couldn’t see before?
As we create our cards, we won’t be trying to force an answer. Instead, we’ll allow the images to lead us into curiosity and discovery.
The darkest time of year can remind us that we don’t need to see the entire path.
Sometimes we only need to see the next step.
